On July 15, 2005 I was having difficulty breathing, so I went to the emergency room in Tempe , Arizona. I thought that it was another blood clot, since I had thrown one to my lungs a few years earlier. I was wrong. Turns out that I was experiencing congestive heart failure. My heart was twice the normal size, functioning at 5%, and my kidneys had shut down. I had no idea how sick I was until my family arrived from Wyoming.
The doctors gave me 24 hours to live. After I made it past 24 hours, they said that I would not be able to walk again, and I would be bed ridden because of the strain on my heart. So, 3 days later, when I started walking around, the doctors were amazed.
While in the ICU, my blood pressure was extremely high. My mom came in one morning and said that my blood pressure would go down and immediately it did. The nurses and everyone were stunned. Then they wanted to give me a blood transfusion. My mom said that she needed time to pray about it, the doctors thought it was a religious reasons why my mom didn't want the transfusion, but it was simply because we were in a big city and she was just a little cautious of that. So, they sent in 3 experts to tell her that I needed a transfusion because a level in my blood was at 8.5 and it needed to go up. They informed her that it was take a healthy person to go up .5 points in a month, there was no way possible for me to go up in levels. Two hours later they took my blood and the level was at 11. Isn't God great!
So, here I am, a year later and my heart is completely healed. The doctors are so amazed and I am doing well. I also got healed of a blood disorder, which was the cause of the clots. God has been so good! I feel amazing, better than I ever have. I should not have lived, but God knew that I had a bigger destiny and calling and He chose to spare my life. I owe every second of every day to Him. I love Him with all my heart. God is a God of signs and wonders. He is still performing miracles today!
